Review

Rly nice game

Great Game

Was looking for a village building simulator and this game hit it right on the money.

So far, this is the best!

I have played a ton of city builder games on iOS, from coc to aoe and I have to say that this is the best so far! It is exactly the game I have been looking for! For those that have played Anno on a PC this is very similar to the full game, same mechanics just spread across more time. The mobile city builder genre fits very well with Anno as it allows your city to grow over a longer period of time and you can check in on it whenever you want instead of having to wait till you get home. It is a little buggy but nothing too bad, the worst I have is just to tap on quests multiple times before it gets the delivery of fish or whatever else its asking for, minor annoyance and if you ignore the quests altogether theres no penalty.

Pretty fun..

Fun game to play...

How to ruin another old classic

Ubisoft should win the Nobel prize for chemistry: theyve managed to turn old classics into crap with their online only, cash for in-game currency, and DRM shenanigans. Games like Anno and Settlers are as enjoyable as they were 20 years ago. And like many others Ive paid more than once to own a copy, be it because I lost or misplaced the cd or whatever. I actually paid $60 bucks for Settlers 2 gold edition back in the day! Full price for two or three of the Anno games too. And would gladly pay up a fair flat price for the iPad version as well, heck, even a ported version! But not being able to take it offline on my wifi only iPad for commutes or travel and nickel & dimeing the cost of a game as if theyre beggars, is just ridiculous. Just because there are idiots stuck paying their pimp and drug dealer Clash of Clowns, it doesnt mean every game should be that way. Just my not so humble opinion...its a free market anyway.... For now its Uninstalled. Put a one time only fair price, allow it to be offline, and Ill buy it and give it 5 stars.

My favorite iPad game

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this game. Since the last update, it has become my favorite iPad game, by far. It captures the essence of what made previous ANNO games (for PC) great fun, and it adds a great multi-player element. I have spent countless hours playing this game, and it really never gets old. With that said, as great as this game is, there are a lot of frustrating problems with it still. There are performance problems with the various animations of the game, and there are frustrating features of the interface (such as having to scroll through your entire list of ships before you get the option to add a new route. Grrr!). By far the most embarrassing problem that needs a high priority fix is to build fault-tolerance into the network connection. The slightest hiccup in network connection drops the game. As a result, ANNO is practically unplayable on my Mifi connection, and I assume the same would be true if you are trying to play over a cellular connection. Most games that require an Internet connection dont have this problem.

Love it so happy its mobile

Thanks for ANNO

Almost

Looks pretty good, maybe not as high def as anno 1701, Menus are a little confusing and the global chat feed is probably annoying enough to make me stop playing.

Great Gme

A real challenge! Lots of fun.

Love the classic, good port

Nuff said.

Very Good Game

This game is a good game to play. You can builted big towns and explore cool lands and create more amazing town

DO NOT DOWNLOAD

Like I said, do not download or youll be wasting your time. This is not a pc port version but a waiting game and nickel and dime like the rest of free junk games all over App Store. Will bump into that problem when reach level 5 to 7. Do yourself a favor, dont bother download. Uninstalled.

Infinite loading

I cant pass the loading screen

Horrible update

Crashes all the time and for nothing. And worse when trying to create a route, can crash along any to step through it, up to "ok" at the end. Tried to create one earlier and after 10 attempts, still no success. Half-baked aesthetic update, and yet they figured up a way to mess their whole game. Unplayable. Not worth your time.

Not working

Will not work on my brand new iPod touch.

Disappointed...

I was excited to see this in the App Store. But what a huge let down....Crash, crash, crash, and more crashing. So frustrating. Has amazing potential if only the crashing would stop.

Fun game poor economics.

Developers are greedy. Rubies are overpriced and trade at less than 1:1 for stone (an infinite resource). Obviously the developers deserve to make money but not finding an objectively fair price and trade value for their games purchasable currency is lazy or malicious, I am not sure which to hope for. Fun game with a pay wall that is relatively greater than a large budget console game.
